Pages: 100 individual, blank, white, Japanese calligraphy sheets (or 200 pages counting both sides.)
Description: This journal is bound using the Japanese Stab Binding method. While this style of journal doesn't lay completely flat, but it is still easy to write/draw in. It's perfect for sketching, using as a photo album, basic journaling, writing a memoir, junk journaling, basic note taking, using for school and many other purposes. It can open both vertically and horizontally.
The hard covers are wrapped in a beautifully pattered maroon and white scrapbook paper which has been finished with a non-yellowing varnish and sealant. The spine is covered in a matching maroon book cloth so it can open and close without worry of tear. The covers and authentic yet durable Japanese calligraphy paper is bound together in an off-white bookbinding thread in a design called the "snake eye" (not invented by myself) with silver charms attached to both sides. The front side has a heart with something written in Spanish though it is too small for me to read. The charm above it is a dreamcatcher. On he backside it has a two Celtic knot charms.
Though the book stays perfectly closed when not in use, it comes with a matching maroon elastic band to wrap around the book when not in use for long periods of time to help keep out dust and other air particles and keep the shape even when left outside during high humidity.
