Pages: There are 70 individual (or 140 counting front and back of the pages) extra thick, unbleached, handmade, tree-free lokta paper "card stock" which is sturdy and much thicker than standard lokta paper which can only take basic pen but no where near as heavy as standard card stock. It is textured, soft and is wonderful for writing, art journaling or junk journaling.
Description: This journal is made from a rare, turquoise and brown embossed leather that only one location in the country carries. It has a wonderful texture and feel. It holds 70 pages which, because of the thickness and softness of the lokta pages, fills the journal to 2.25" thick. The journal is bound along the spine in dark brown cord so the book can lay open when writing. It closes with a matching leather strap accented by a chain of under the sea charms and a large bronze mermaid pendant. You will find shells, an octopus, starfish, dolphin and a seahorse as well. This chain of charms can be easily removed if they get in your way of if you wish to add them to a bracelet or necklace.
