Where Everything Stands Right Now
First of all, Happy Mother's Day! Especially to the mom's who have adopted children, the loving step-moms, the mothers who have lost children in some unfair way, whether taken by a former spouse, whether they have passed on or whether they are currently missing, Happy Mother's Day to those who cannot have children, but have become the "extra mom" to nieces and nephews or the children of a good friend and teachers, who put up with the unfair rules, the abuse and the threats from students as young as the first grade and who do not teach political ideology or gender studies (unless that's the class you are teaching), but who continue to educate students in reading, math and history because they love what they do. I send a very happy and blessed Mother's day to you.
After being sick, deathly ill, for eight solid months, I had a lot of time while stuck in bed to think about what I wanted from my business. Bookbinding is great, but it's a slow and tedious process that isn't ever going to make me the income needed to help support my husband when he is too old to work anymore. It isn't going to be consistent enough to keep me consistent and vice versa so that I can maintain a stead stream of income to cover any future medical bills, or hopefully get well enough that I can quality for healthcare again.
For years, I've wanted to create a massive workbook and planner that helps people who feel stuck in a rut bring themselves out of that rut using techniques that other "manifestation" and "self-development coaches" have never talked about. Of course it will have some magic guiding it's undercurrents, since that is where the inspiration for the practices and methods I use today originated from, practice I use to to help control autistic meltdowns, ADHD obsessiveness, hyperactivity, which in my case means talking WAY too much and never being able to sit still, also maintaining self-control when in crowded, loud places where my sensory overload begins to cause physiological problems and overall success of short-term goals.
If you've worked through programs that didn't inspire change within you and they include repeating affirmations, that's one pitfall that many of these workbooks and programs contain that is counter productive. Think of a plant sitting in a pot of watery shit and it's dying from that watery shit being absorbed into its roots. You can think of affirmations as water the ignorant owner of the plant continues to sprinkle on the plant each and every day while I will show you how to remove the shitty water from the pot, drain the soil and do this every so often to keep that shitty water from building up once again. Affirmations = lying to yourself and lying to yourself or anyone else for that matter, never works out.
Something I've never seen mentioned in goal planners is HOW to actually achieve goals. There is one simple way, though it requires practice to maintain the mindset, that will help you reach your goals. Stop thinking about you in the present moment and focus on the you tomorrow, next week, next year or 5 years from now. The you that will benefit from the accomplishments of a goal is who you should be focusing on. Not you as you stand today.
For example, you're invited to a party full of alcohol and who knows what else and you know you have an important exam tomorrow. If you're focused on tomorrow's you, you'll avoid that party so you won't be hungover and flunk the exam. Focus on you at that moment, you want instant fun, you'll go to the party, drink yourself into oblivion and unless you're already some raging yet functional alcoholic who no longer experiences hangovers, you'll show up to class still plastered and bomb this important exam.
I have new journals, a few planners and some really beautiful notebooks and notepads along with plenty of accessories ready to be listed and made available, however, I want to at least have a detailed showcase of the workbook/planner that I am getting ready to send off to a printing company who will create linen hard covers with gold foiling accents, professional printing, thick paper, pockets, stickers an elastic strap and other aesthetics that, while I could add to my planners made here at home, would take weeks to add those details. This planner/workbook will not be anything like the other manifestation, spirituality and self-development workbooks out there. My system is based of neuroscience, psychology, real, logical and practical steps that are also fun and allow for influences like crystals, essential oils and other earth-based tools to help get you to where you want to be. Everything will be explained in this workbook, but think neuroscience and psychology combined with a little magic and the importance of building habits.
You'll learn a bit about the brain and how it can be divided up into three unique evolutionary brains also called the "triune brain" which consists of the Reptilian Complex or Reptilian Brain (basal ganglia) the paleomammalian complex or mammalian brain (limbic system), and the neomammalian complex (neocortex), which is our highest and more advanced brain that is responsible for language, spatial awareness and sensory perception. Each "brain" is viewed as independently conscious and as structures sequentially added to the forebrain in the course of evolution. According to the model, the basal ganglia are in charge of primal instincts, the limbic system is in charge of emotions, and the neocortex is responsible for objective or rational thoughts.
This will be a model for how you'll learn to manipulate and basically brainwash yourself into believing you can...and when you believe you can, you will. There's a reason for that as well, but it will al be explained in this seemingly overly scientific but so, so fun and colorful planner and workbook. We also dive into how crystals, chakras, colors, seasons, moon phases, symbolism, etc. help to trigger or unlock areas of the subconscious which allow it to work in the background toward achieving a goal or manifesting an intention without our consciousness being aware that it's happening.

Etsy... A Love/Hate Relationship
I hate the way Etsy does things behind the senes, but the platform itself is wonderful. You could say I have a love/hate relationship with Etsy. Just recently, I began playing around with AI art and because it would come out beautiful, it never was what I had envisioned in my mind. So I started adding my own digital art, even some hand drawn art, to it in order to create something more closely related to my vision. It also keeps the artwork from being 100% artificially generated, giving each illustration a human touch. Because I have created so many clip art graphics, junk journal pages, printable stickers along with other printable creations like planner pages both using the described techniques as well as created on Canva and other graphic design apps, I needed something to do with it all.
So I've decided to try my hand at Etsy, though I'm aware that my store may get closed down before I even make it live due to their extremely flawed AI system of weeding out scammers. No explanation, no human review, just a blatant "Pay your new $15 fee, go to all the work to set up your store and we're going to shut it down before you make a single sale and if you plan to ask for your $15 fee back, here's a big middle finger. Consider that your reply." I've set up two shops, one in my name and one in my friend Jacki's name, a dear friend who has been helping me, in hopes that both stay up and running, but also if one gets shut down, the other may not.
